512MB Lexar xD Picture Card Includes Free 32MB xD Card, Get Two These And You've Set!!

I love my Lexar XD512-231 512MB xD picture card, because it's does the job! It's great having enough room to do what I want, lots of pictures and video. I took advantage of the more space, for my 2005 family reunion. I had made over 248 items of pictures and videos. It is known that xD picture card has the highest capacity in one of the smallest formats, I don't understand what people are talking M type? It also the fastest data transfer speeds out there. Very compact, so very compact that it's very easy to lose! but the plus is that it comes with the a free 32MB xD picture card, it's a offer from the website flashmemorystore.com. It's one of those Yahoo! stores. That means, it's has it's own shipping polices, VERY SLOWWWWWW Shipping!!I chose the free shipping option. flashmemory's customer sevice sucksssss!! Oh yeah, they gave me the wrong order. I ordered the Fujifilm 512MB xD picture card, instead they gave the xD picture card above. I paid 70 bucks for a lot of trouble. I will never order for them again! I did ordered the Fujifilm 512MB XD-Picture Card For Fuji Digital Cameras - 22000112 from buy.com first, but I kept on waiting and waiting for it, but unfortunately I had to cancel my order, because they were out of stock:( I know now I should've order it from somewhere else. And the only reason why didn't order from newegg.com, is because they didn't have a 512MB xD picture card there.

Pros:
The Lexar xD-Picture Card™ is compact for smaller and more stylish digital devices. It’s powerful for amazing memory capacity now, and increased memory capacity in the future. It’s durable, making it a media you can trust with your most valuable data. And it’s versatile, for unprecedented device flexibility. Lexar xD-Picture Cards - the most advanced digital media cards ever for the best digital images yet. High capacity and high speed tranfer rate, Small and compact for the most portable digital cameras, Durable and reliable, Capacities range from 64MB to 1GB, Panorama feature is supported by, Olympus stamped xD card, Compatible to all Olympus and Fuji xD-compatible devices, This product is backed by a lifetime warranty.

Cons:
The only cons are for the company I order from itself. flashmemorystore.com are unreliable, has very slow shipping, awful customer service and I feel like that there only 3 or 4 people working there.

WOW! What A Powerful Speaker System!!!

I love my first 5.1 speaker system, because it's at a affordable price, and I like the color of black and sliver together. The 5.1 surround sound THX performance. The sound is like...In one word: POWERFUL! The 4 satellites speakers with the center channel speaker are Mid-range and they aren't little lite weigh speakers, There HUGE! There must weigh one or two pounds each, and there have heavy duty, thick and strong cords, also color coded! So it's easy to set-up, others have complained about how short the cords are but in my situation, there too long, which is good, I got what paid for! They also have notches at both bottom sides of the 4 speakers, so it a be easy to mount on the wall they can swivel too, GREAT! The Z-5300 "E" With a cool new look has silver speakers and removable black cloth grills. This has got to be the biggest and heaviest subwoofer I've every seen, now I know there's bigger ones out there, but this one is BIGGGG! Also it's a powerful one too. This subwoofer is built with a dual chamber, so it'll play louder and lower for a the greatest bass ever! Now on the back of it. It has an on and off switch, and a you change the level of surround sound, to what you want or have, like from 2.1, 4.1, and 5.1. In my case I have a CHAINTECH C-Media AV512 8738 6ch Sound Card, so I can put it on 5.1. But I think I have get a better sound card. I've never heard of SoundTouch before, it's a wired remote control that controls everything. I like it, its cute, though I wish it could be wireless, but I would have to pay about a 100 bucks more for it! Which I don't have... HA HA! A 2 year limited warranty, I'm glad that it's there, for security reasons, hopefully nothing happens and I wouldn't need it. As for the video game console adapter, I don't think I'll need it, because I don't video games, but I have family so I'll probably give it to them or find another way to use it. Once again I didn't go to newegg.com because they jacked-up price. I hate when do that, but I'll still go there for my Tech stuff. So instead I went to UpgradeSounce.com where they have FREE! Shipping and handing on everything, with it Fedex ground shipping. You have choice between Free ground shipping, 1-3 day express shipping 49.95! And I don't know anybody who go for The 2 Day Air 147.65, or The Next Day Air 164.30 shipping! I only paid 152.00 did I tell you that it's shipping/handing is free....LOL, and wasn't about to pay 49.95 dollars exras for shipping. NO WAY! What's included 4 satellites speakers, 1 center channel speaker, 1 subwoofer cables: power cord, color coded audio cables, SoundTouch wired remote control, a 2 year limited warranty, user's manual, video game console adapter. NOTE: Like I said before, if you like to have a great sound performance like me, then I recommend a better sound card like one from Creative Labs.

Creative Labs
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...N82E16829102162

Pros:
The 5.1 surround sound THX performance which make these speakers sound POWERFUL, affordable price tag, new Z-5300 "e" has better color than the Z-5300, it has sliver speakers with black cloth grills, 4 great satellite speakers with heavy duty cords, with one center channel speaker, one large powerful subwoofer, with controls on the back, like a on and off switch, also you can change the level of surround sound you have from 2.1 to 5.1, SoundTouch wired remote control. The remote also have a heavy duty cord, a 2 limited warranty, and video game console adapter, its good that I have one, because I can always find another to use it, but I don't like playing games.

Cons:
There's not too many cons, here.... But the fact that the remote is wired, and not wireless, this is no real problem for me though, the 4 speakers/center speaker could put out bit-better quality of sound, because the subwoofer can sometimes overpower them...But this also not that big a deal.

A Great DVD Player For At A Low Price!!!

I just love my M270 black DVD player, because it's small, compact and it come with a 7'' TFT "LCD" Liquid Crystal Display, it's a good size, not too big not too little. The color change when moved at different angles. But the video quality is great. Built-in musical speakers & earphones? OH MY GOD! The DVD player's built-in sound quality is horrible!!! I recommed a very good pair of speakers!! Like a pair of Logitech's Mid-range speakers or better it your choice... Built-in Dolby digital decoder, Dolby digital output I like all the outputs this DVD player has. Dolby down-mix dual channel outputMulti-format disk support CD/MP3/CD-R/CD-RW/DVD/VCD/SVCD/HDCD/DVD Audio/WMA/Kodak Picture CD (JPEG) and I found out that it can play DVD-R/RW's too, The M270 read them as DVD Movie discs. I don't like the fact that the DVD player's battery snaps on the bottom of the DVD player, makes more easier to get broken, I wish then made it built-inside. You use the AC adapter as a power source instead of the battery, charge up the battery to the AC adapter, it also comes with a credit size remote control. I was a little confuses about the company, on the Newegg and the ChiefValue saids that this product is ADVUEU and AMW, I couldn't find it at the ADVUEU website only at the A-MW website. I brought it from newegg.com for 149.00 S/H 4.99 = 153.99 with a -50.00 rebate = 99.00.

here's AMW Official Website
http://www.a-mw.com/products/portabledvd/m270.htm

Pros:
It's small and compact, has a ''7 TFT LCD screen, which make the video quality great.... Lots of outputs for convenience, also plays DVD-R/RW Media, don't know about DVD+R/RW, because I don't use it, do to the fact that this media lesser of the two, meaning less eletronics use it.

Cons:
The sounds quality is horrible, do to the cheaply made built-in speakers....with just about all LCD's, color changes when moved different angles, the screen is only 7''. A 7'' screen could be too small for others, but not for me though.

A Needed Accessory!! The Fujifilm FinePix "E" Series AC-3VHS AC Adapter.

The Fujifilm FinePix "E" series AC-3VHS AC adapter, is very much needed accessory for your Fujifilm Digital Camera, I strongly recommed you buy this ac adapter. Because like I said before in the e510's review, The e510 eats up a lot batteries, and that means you'll lose some great moments because of it... And you also save money in long run! When I first got it, I was so happy. Now I can save my batteries for times, when you are outdoors or away from electric power sounces. A warning to you. The camera will get very hot, so please use with caution! another warning, is that the AC's cord isn't very long so also recommend you buy a AC Outlet Extender cord. I already have one laying around the house, but if you don't have one, go to Buy.com they have one for 5.99 plus shipping, or a cable store. I guess the price is right, the depand on you. I paid 38.15 + 5.75 = 43.85. I would of paid a little less, if I had of joined the YUB Club sooner maybe about dollar or so, but I'll talk about that later.....LOL.

AC Outlet Extend Cord
http://www.buy.com/retail/product.a...99&loc=111&sp=1

Pros:
A must need accessory! save batteries for trips away from home and(or) where there's no power sources, another point is..You save lots of money from not having to keep on buying batteries!!!

Cons:
camera gets very hot, when in uses for a long time, the price for some people, but not me...Core isn't very long, so you might have to buy a AC outlet extend cord, somewhere down the line.

I was looking for a new surge Protector for my room on the internet, because the old one didn't have enough outlets on it, and that's when I found The Stratitec S520102 12-OUTLET Phone/dual Coax Surge Protector, has 6ft. super-flex power cord with a right angle has a flush mount plug, this feature is great, recessed power switch and circuit breaker, this feature helps prevents you from accidentally switching off the unit (my old 6-outlet surge protector always got cut off accidentally) and allows for maximum usage for all outlets (2404 joules), surge protection and ground wiring led light. Surge protection red and ground wiring green. Has a surge alert alarm, you'll hear a buzz sound tone, it will alert you, when the protector has uses it maximum surge. Has a patented design with 12 protected AC outlets for 12 different products, has a surgeabsore exclusive patent pending enhanced protection for phone, fax, modem. Enhanced 2 in-2 out coax protection, for satellite receivers, TV's, cable modems, etc. Patented design with built-in AC power cord routing, allows the cord to be tuck underneath the surge protector. Where the shipping is real slow, and the customer service is almost none existent..

I Love My New Cordless Phone System!!!

This phone is easy to use, has a great color bright orange backlit, I love all the thing it can do. Like this phone has a 10 handset maximum expandability, that means I can add 8 more handsets, this phone system already comes with 2 handsets, and with each new headset you get you'll have to register it on the base. Expand with The Uniden TCX800 5.8GHz Digital Expandable Handset for TRU8800 Series(link below). The extra caller ID handset is great, because I can see who's calling, that's always a good thing, but I can also see who's calling from the base too!! The call waiting deluxe function, I haven't use this one yet, a digital answering system is great no need for tape anymore, the base keypad has small keys, but I have small hands so that's a plus for me anyways:) Each headset has a speakerphone, no need for the phone to be near your head.. The base also has a speakerphone too, but it's a duplex, 100 caller ID memory numbers for the headsets and the base, Do not disturb setting is a good Feature, because sometimes, you just don't wanna be bother! 4-way conferencing you would 2 handsets, the base and a outside call, wow what a great feature, now the DirectLink 2-way radio feature would be great if the range were a little longer, 1 mile at least! We use the Directlink from the 15th floor to the 11th floor, now I don't know how many feet that is, but it's a short a range. The mute and hold functions, don't really use these features. Alphabetical search is good, having all the numbers in order great! Transfer numbers between handsets and the base, I use this feature all the time. New message waiting indicator is a good function, because you can tell if you got new messages or not. The intercom is similar to DirectLink, but with this feature you can also transfer calls between headsets. This system also has 20 ring options, 10 melodies and 10 ring tones, this feature is alright, could be better... 10 Speed Dial Locations at Base, Headset Compatible, Trilingual Menu Displays and Voice Prompts, Integrisound, this feature is great because, it makes the phone sound very clear. Room / Baby Monitoring is a good feature, I have a little brother who has autism, and this feature is a great way to watch over him. Animation / Battery / Clock Display, Earpiece and Ringer Volume Control are all good, Ringer Off Option is the similar to do not disturb, Find Lost Handset Key it a great feature, we lose are phones all the time around here. Wall Mountable, Record Conversation Capability is a great feature, because what if you run in some legal troublemaker, you'll have a proof for your side!!! Remote Message Retrieval is great little feature, retrieval messages from anywhere! And lets not forget it a 5.8GHz Digital Expandable System!!! I bought this phone from newegg.com for 155.00 + S/H 4.99 = 159.99. And we can't put them down!! This system comes with 2 handsets, 2 chargers, a manual, the base, a phone cord, Belt Clips, NiMH Battery Pack. If you don't wanna get the one with 2 headsets, there is one with just 1 headset for 99.99 + 4.99SH from newegg.com(link below) We don't even use the other cordless phone anymore...

The 1# All-In-One TV!!!

I love my Sylvania 6719DC 19 in. TV/VCR/DVD Combo. I bought it from ABCwarehouse around Christmas of 02'. I wanted a TV with a DVD player and VHS player all in one unit, for great low price. I wanted one that wasn't too small or too big. I was looking in the Sunday's paper and I the Sylvania 6719DC for 297.99."Offers S-VHS tape playback and 19-micron heads for clear recordings in SLP mode, 19-inch color television with 3-inch speakers, built-in DVD player, and 4-head hi-fi stereo VCR Tapes, DVD Video, CD, CD-RW, CD-R, and MP3 files, 4-step, high-speed DVD search (2x, 8x, 30x, and 60x), Still-frame and slow motion play (DVD and VHS)" It's takes off brand DVD-RW media, like Optodisc, with all that this TV can do(2002 model, with is no longer made). There's no S-Video input!! Also on this TV, when it gets hot mostly in the summer or in very warm to hot wheather, a whistling noise come out of it, I probably need to take it to a repair shop....It's a real BIG Problem!! another problem is that I always forget that this happens, because for long preiod of time in the year the noise stops coming. But I'm sure the newer models have a S-Video output. You will have to buy a RCA Jack/S-Video Jack Adapter. I recommend the GENERIC 30S2-05400 RCA Jack/S-Video Jack Adapter - OEM for 4.49 from newegg.com.

Generic 30S2-05400 RCA Jack/S-Video Jack Adapter http://www.newegg.com/product/produ...N82E16812102123

Pros:
19" color television with built-in DVD video player/CD audio player and 4-head Hi-Fi VCR, 47-key remote control, Closed Caption decoder, plays VCR Tapes, DVD-RW, DVD-R, CD-RW, CD-R Discs, Video CDs, DVD movies.

Cons:
no S-video input, problem two is on this TV, when it gets hot mostly in the summer or in very warm to hot wheather, a whistling noise sound come of it, I probably need to take it to a repair shop to get it fixed....It's a real BIG problem!!! Another problem is, I always forget that this happens, because for long preiod of time in the year the noise stops coming out....

A Good PC For The Price!

My first PC was a e-machines e-tower Intel Celeron 366iMHz, 3GB hard drive with 32MB of SD-RAM, bus speed 66MHz, AGP 2x, and it also had a 32X CD-ROM, bundled with a software package including Windows 98 First Edition, Adobe Acrobat Reader 3.01, ATI Multimedia Player, Also included were the trial online access programs AOL, CompuServe 2000, AT&T World Net, Prodigy Internet and the Microsoft Network, "14 monitor. It was horrid, kept on running out of room, modem wouldn't work, very slow, etc, and I know my mom over paid for it, (which she got from Office Depot) she also brought a Xerox printer, for a whopping 899.99 back in 1998, then in the year 2000 I got a Dell Optiplex GX110 Pentium III 866MHz processor, it came with a 17'' montior the E770P(which I used on my lastest PC, until I bought a new 17'' LCD montior) 128 MB RAM, 20GB hard drive, Windows 98 SE, no modem, ethernet port, 3 USB 1.0 ports, floppy, CD-ROM 40x, a very large keyboard with mouse, no speakers, this is around time I bought a modem for this PC because it didn't have one, the first modem was a dud, finally the second one worked, then I bought The Brother's MFC-7300c, with didn't work with this PC. At first this PC was ok, but I started to run out of room, getting errors etc. The 6350us is my 3nd PC, and it's the best one yet. I went to store after store until I got to Circuit City and I saw it on the display for 849.99. Compaq Presario 6000(6350us), Intel Pentium 4 2.4GHz processor, 512MB DDR-SDRAM, CD-RW Drive 40x40x10, DVD-ROM Drive 16x, Floppy Drive, 80GB Hard Drive, Windows XP Home Edition and 6 USB2 ports, System Bus Speed 400MHz I just had to get it now! It came with booket, manual, diagram, compaq keyboard & mouse, Norton Antivirus 2002, Intuit Quicken 2002 New User Edition with financial center, 5 restore discs, Microsoft Works 6 and Money 2002, But then I found out that this PC doesn't have a video card, just integrated Intel Extreme Graphics with 64mb of RAM, limited PCI Slots space (only 3 with 2 open), no AGP Slot, no DVD-RW Drive, no Microsoft Office software, not a lot of software, but it does the job ok. I did some upgrading by buying a TV Tuner card, a sound card, a DVD-RW Drive, and a PCI firewire Card. I think I will do some more research now, and buy another kind of PC next time. One that cost a little more with all the things I want on it.. Compaq no longer make this model.

Pros:
mid-size hard drive (80GB), DVD-ROM drive (16x), CD-RW drive (40x40x10), lots of USB ports (6).

Cons:
No firewire ports, no TV Tuner card, no video card, integrated graphics, no AGP Slot, limited PCI slot space, no Microsoft office, no DVD-RW drive, no Monitor, mini-tower.

Great LCD Monitor at a good price!!

I love my new Rosewill R710J (Black) LCD monitor it's great, because it's sharp, clear, and small, but the speakers are not all that good, and when you turn up the volume the sound would get distorted. I had a old Dell E771p Cream color 17'' in CRT monitor it was big it took up a lot of room on my PC desk and the viewable screen size is smaller than the LCD. The LCD Viewable is 17'' and The CRT is viewable is 16''. But the LCD colors are different from the CRT, with means that the CRT is better for gamers, my eyes had to uses to the color changes, the LCD view colors changes, like when you're viewing the LCD screen from side to side, up, and down, this monitor doesn't have a swivel screen, like my old CRT Dell monitor, no glare, ghosting, or lag, on the back there is some space for a TV Tuner, and DVI-IN, S-IN, Video. I seen LCD monitors for more with same quality!! And I got it from Newegg.com near Christmas time for 241.00 12.00 s/h. = 253.00.

Pros:
takes up less room on my PC desk, sharp, cheap in price but not in quality, no glare, larger viewable than a CRT( viewable 16'), Multimedia enhanced, ClearMotiv technology, High brightness and contrast, Fast video response, XtremeView performance, AutoTune Function, OSD/Power lock function, OnView controls including ViewMatch feature, VESA DPMS Standard, EPA Energy Star, PC and MAC compatible

Cons:
BAD speakers, LCD monitor doesn't swivel, no DVI port, but most 17" monitors don't.

I Love My Fujifilm FinePix e510 Digital Camera!!!

I love this Camera! I bought this camera from newegg.com for 209. 95 + SH 6.50 = 216.45. . The e510 comes with the camera, a manual, a 16MB xD-picture media card, a 4x6 sample picture, camera strap, 2 AA alkaline batteries, and software. It's got a lot of features. Like a big 2'in LCD screen, auto mode, zoom in, movie mode, 5.2MP, Real-image optical viewfinder(approx. 80% Coverage) some camera don't even have a viewfinder, Etc. The LCD viewfinder is kinda of useless in dark places because you can't tell what's you're taking, but takes great outdoor pictures and good well-lit indoor pictures, when you view a picture you've taken, you can zoom in on, it's got 5.2MP that means you take 20x30 pictures, 4 preprogrammed scene types: like sports, night, portrait, landscape, color modes: standard, chrome, and B&W. A pop-up flash, the power source is 2 AA alkaline batteries, that means replacing batteries is easy, because this type of batteries can be found anywhere, storage media xD-picture card (16MB to 512MB) is the smallest and the fastest media around right now, I really don't use the software it came with, I just use the Brother's 5480cn photo capture driver. I had some problems with this camera at first. I kept on clicking the shutter button, I found out that I wasn't clicking the button hard enough:) The movie mode quality isn't very good. (320x240 94 Sec., 160x120 288 Sec.) and the videos also come out too dark, another downside is this camera eat up a lot of batteries and I had to replace them four times already! But if you want a non-costly camera with 5.2mp and 2 inch LCD, that cost less than others in the same league. You can see more accessories for The e510 at the Fujifilm mall website.

The FinePix e510's Accessories
http://www.fujifilmmall.com/product.asp?sku=2552005

Pros:
5.2 million pixels, Auto focus, 4 preprogrammed scene types: sports, night, portrait, landscape, Color modes: Standard, Chrome, B&W, Auto flash, 2.0-inch LCD monitor, Real-image optical viewfinder(approx. 80% Coverage), Power source: 2 AA alkaline batteries(replacing the batteries is easy), Movie recording[though this features quality isn't very good], Storage Media: xD-Picture card(16MB to 512MB)(is the smallest and the fastest media), great outdoor pictures and well-lit indoor pictures.

Cons:
movie mode quality isn't very good, batteries run out fast, you have to click shutter button hard, LCD viewfinder is kinda useless in dark places..

My First And Only Wireless Keyboard & Mouse!!!

This is my first and only wireless keyboard and mouse desktop set. And I love it!! I bought it from newegg.com for 47.00 dollars. I got the OEM version, it comes with the keyboard & mouse, a smart receiver, and batteries, a manual and a plain orange brown box, but it didn't come with the software or the fancy box. It was to set-up, but at first I had a hard time putting the batteries into the mouse, because it was hard to open the compartment cover, but I got the batteries in ok. The Batteries last for a long time! I turned on my PC and the mouse worked just like that! But the keyboard wouldn't work at first, I push the connect button on the bottom back of the keyboard, so that the keyboard would start working too. I like the zoom slider feature on the keyboard, because some website have small print words, and this feature is needed for that, the comfortable curve design feels good on my small hands, the keyboard even has a black leather wrist rest, 102 keys, normal keys, 21 function keys, special keys like web/home, calendar, mail, messenger, my documents, the media: mute, volume -/+, pause, stop, forward, and back, keys and 5 favorites you can add your own programs by customizing. I add-in Mozilla firefox, and ComproPVR 2 keys, you can also reassign and modify mouse buttons, scrolling you can add you own, the batteries last for up to 6 months! Why you want to spend more on the retail version when you can buy the OEM version for $20.00 less!! You can always download the IntelliType and IntelliPoint drivers for free. Link below.

Driver's Website
http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/m...d/Download.mspx

Pros:
Cheap priced wireless keyboard & mouse, lots features, zoom slider, comfort curve design, tilt wheel technology, three times the battery life over other wireless desktop sets, smart receiver, keyboard customizing, special keys, mouse reassigning and modifying settings.

Cons:
This isn't really a con, but I did have problem putting the batteries in the mouse...

UPDATE:
I had to buy another mouse, because I kept on bumping the first part of the mouse on the keyboard, cup and printer, and it stoped working.

A Great TV Tuner With Lots Of Features!!!

I love my Compro TV Ultra. I connect it to a 3-way splitter, my cable modem, cable TV are also hooded up to the splitter. I can record shows, movies etc. And being able to watch TV on my PC is a cool, because sometimes the cable on my TV don't work right. Don't know why?? This was I can watch my favorite shows without missing anything... I bought it from newegg.com. I notice one thing is that Compro's software makes the TV Tuner run the TV programs faster than on the TV... Funny huh? Like when I was watching 24 on my PC and my TV. The TV was slower by a few seconds... I but I had problems with viewing TV on my PC at first, I sent e-mail to the customer service, by the way the people at Compro USA are and very helpful too! There that's when I found out I had to upgrade the software, from version 1.0 to 2.0. The other thing is that I had to also install a program called Ulead Photo Explore 8.0 in order to use the recording functions. Later on I had another problem is that The Compro software interferes with my cable TV remote control, when I change the channel or turn up the volume on my cable remote The Compro TV software would come on and go off, weird huh? Now for the FM radio tuner function, I don't really use this one, because I don't listen to the radio much. But I tried it out and found it to be ok, You can record some music, etc. I put it on autoscan some of Detroit's more popular stations weren't on the play list. I had to add them in manual, like WJLB, WDRQ, etc. I also got a lots of noise too. But all is well and I'm happy with my buy.

Pros:
Records TV and FM radio, comes with a remote control, good customer service, works faster then cable TV.

Compare the interfaces: 1.0 or 2.0?

Cons:
interferes with cable TV remote control, problems viewing TV on my PC until I upgrade my TV Tuner driver and Compro software, ugly new interface.

The Greatest All-in-one For The Price!!

I love my Brother's MFC-5840CN All-in-one printer!! I got it from newegg.com fastest shipping ever! I paid only 189.00+9.75 S/H=198.75. The scanner works great, the printing works great too, good photo printing even on plain paper! Card reader works, I use it with my Lexar/Olympus 512mb, Kodak 32mb, and Fujifilm 16mb xD-picture card that came with my E510 Digital Camera. This is my second All-in-one printer. The first one (MFC-7300C) I bought it around Christmas of 01'. It was slow, and I would get paper jams, and ink errors all the time.. But this AIO has a flatbed scanner, dual paper trays, media card reader etc. At first I had a hard time putting in the ink, finally (small framed me) got my mom to do it, because she is bigger and stronger than me. I haven't tried out the networking function yet. But like the MFC-7300C the new MFC-5840CN has some problems too, besides ink installing problems, coping is kinda on the slow side, no cables come with the printer like the USB or Ethernet cable, you buy them at newegg.com. Prices range from 1.29 to 17.99 for USB2 and Ethernet 2.49 to 8.49, links are at the bottom. Sometime the scanner functions stops working and I'll have to un-plug and re-plug the printer to get the printer working right again, this has happen 3 times already, I still can't get why this happens? Don't know if this is only happening to me or not? And as a matter of fact, when you run out of ink in one ink cartridge, like the black for instants, the printer won't work until you'll replaces the one emtpy cartridge. kinda dumb huh? I didn't have this problem with my old Xerox printer. I still recommend this cheap AIO printer, because it everything you want in a AIO, and more! There is a even a cheaper model(MFC-5440CN), this model doesn't have the media card reader, nor, does it have the etxra paper tray, but it has everything else the 5840CN have... For 143.75 + 7.75 SH from Newegg.com(link below). Buy the ink from there too! But every consumer product has it's problems. And if you don't mind the lack of a color LCD, duplex printing, and removable scanner lid. Then this is one for you!!!

Pros:
Networking, media card reader, dual paper trays, fast printing and scanning, good photo prints even on plain paper.

Cons:
Slow coping, no color LCD, problems with installing ink, No USB or Ethernet cable included, for some reason the scanner function stops working, have un-plug and re-plug in the printer to get it working again, when one ink cartridge runs out, you aren't able to print anything until you replaces the empty cartridge..

Newegg.com The Way To Shop For Less!!

I love newegg.com, because they have the fastest shipping, I mean Lighting fast! And great customer service. The people that work there are the most helpful and nicest... I first join newegg.com after having some problems with meritline.com service. I was looking for non-costly DVD-/+RW Drive for making copies of DVD movies, and recording TV programs. And newegg.com has everything, I bought a off brand model NU DDW-082 Black DVD Drive OEM for 73.00, shipping was free, and I brought some DVD-RW discs called Optodisc for 28.00 shipping was also free. Some of the items there have free shipping. At newegg.com I found lots of items there that are at low prices, like USB 2.0 cables there cost anywhere from 1.29 to 17.99, unlike other places with they cost 30.00!! I trust newegg.com, I've been a member since May 2004, and I've been happy every since.

Mt. Rainier
Mt. Rainier, also known as EasyWrite, is a format specified by Microsoft, Sony, Philips and Hewlett-Packard to allow an optical disc to be used exactly like a floppy disk. That is, being able to read from and write to the disc from within any application you use, without the need for special burning software. Mt. Rainier differs from traditional packet writing software in that it performs most of the tasks (such as background formatting and handling defect management) in the hardware of the drive itself, making the system far more robust, and relieving the operating system from these tasks. Mt. Rainier will be a standard part of the forthcoming Microsoft Windows version, called Longhorn. Mt. Rainier capability is available for CD-RW and DVD+RW only. Look for the EasyWrite logo on the front of the drive to determine if it is Mt. Rainier compliant.

Two-way Compatibility
Two-way compatibility is the basic philosophy for DVD+R and DVD+RW. It means that existing DVD-Video discs can be played on a DVD+RW recorder (or that existing DVD-ROM discs can be read on a DVD+RW drive), and that the recordings you make on DVD+R and DVD+RW discs can be played on existing DVD-Video players and DVD-ROM drives.

Thank God, This No Good All-In-One Has Been Discontinued!!!!!!!!

I had such a hard time with this machine that I gave it away to someone who doesn't know that much about printers, who wouldn't care about what kind of printer they would get, someone who is just happy with getting a printer at all. Not me I want the best for the right price. This printer cost way too much money, for this worthless piece of garbage. I paid 299.99 + Michigan tax for it!! I bought this printer around Christmas time in 2001 from Office Depot. I had all kinds of problems with this thing, from the ink cost, to the headaches this thing gave me. ERROR, ERROR, ERROR!!!!!!!! So many errors, like ink error and paper jams and the fact that I had to buy three PCs to get this thing to work. It's very very sloooowwwwww, not even a PC pro I know could do anything about it!!! And when I finally got this thing to work with my 3nd PC, my I add, the printer feature was very slow, it would take 4 minutes to print one page of text, and forget about printing pictures it takes 10 minutes to print photos. The copier feature was slow, and sometimes of poor quality. I used the scanner just about all the time with my 3nd PC, and it was bad the paper would get jammed in there and I would have a hard time getting out of there, the scans were of poor quality, sheet feed scanners are horrible! I never could the built-in video-capture port feature to work. And I only used the fax feature twice and it worked ok, but the sheet feed ate up the paper, This thing drinks ink like waterI will said this it makes a great door stop...LOL! I'm so glad Brother don't make model anymore. I do not Recommended this AIO. So I waited three years too do some more research on all-in-one's, Because I didn't do enough research before. But and now I found the right one for a great price(MFC-5840CN) and I'm very happy with it.

Pros:
All-in-one.

Cons:
Not a flatbed, slow printing, scanning, coping, paper jams, ink errors, driver errors, use up lots of ink fast.
